Twin Cities Moth Grandslam, October 2018
Laura writes books for young people. Her debut YA novel My Eyes Are Up Here (Dutton, 2020) won a Minnesota Book Award. Her second book, Just Do This One Thing For Me will be published in the summer of 2023. She lives in Minneapolis, where you can sometimes find her telling true stories live on stage, or striding through the snow in search of the perfect mocha.
Besides writing books, sometimes I like to tell stories in real life. Here are a few, in case you want to hear my Midwestern accent:
A Terrible PSA for Routine Cancer Screening at the TC Moth Grandslam, Pantages Theater
Smashing Pumpkins at the TC Moth Grandslam, Guthrie Theater
Hanukkah Fish at the Riverview Theater
Busted at the TC Moth Storyslam, Amsterdam Bar
The Book Snob at the Riverview Theater
My Life as a Veterinarian at the TC Jewish Humor Festival, Sabes JCC
Out on a Limb at the TC Moth Grandslam, Fitzgerald Theater
Here are a few things I wrote about bodies, books, and breasts:
